Surfing
The rainbow hostel is situated within 20 minutes drive of some of the best surf spots on the Dingle peninsula. There are waves for all levels of surfer from complete novice to the pro surfer. There are beach breaks to suit all, as well as some challenging reefs for the more advanced surfers among us. The Dingle peninsula has a range of surf spots that face in most directions so there is always somewhere picking up some swell.

The hostel itself has facilities to accommodate surfers, there is a secure area where boards can be stored overnight, a hose for washing out your wetsuit after a long days surfing, and somewhere to hang it up so it can be dry for the next days surf (nothing worse than getting into a wet wetsuit). There are also laundry facilities to wash out the rashies and towels. The hostel also has broadband Internet access so you can track the next swell, and check the winds the see where is getting the best conditions.
